The evidence continues to mount that our family experiences shape us more than any other. Those who work with children and young people are finding that working with people in isolation only gets you so far; that you rarely get to the heart of a person without knowing their family. That goes for churches, community organisations and local and national government. That means that the mixture of skills called 'Family Support' is going to be much in demand in the coming years. Our new degree in Family Support Work and Ministry will equip students to work with families of many kinds and in many settings, offering a theological and practical foundation to a new and developing profession.
