Three New Courses for 2009 Entry
With our history in education and training, we are convinced that our new higher education courses in Youth Work & Ministry, Children's Work & Ministry and Family Support Work & Ministry, can equip our young people to become part of "The Children's Workforce", for all those who work with for all those who work with 5-12s; 13-18s and with families.

The courses are delivered over three levels, each requiring the equivalent of one year of full time study.
Level 1: CertHE in Supporting Children, Young People and Families comprises of: 40 practice weeks (in main and observational placements), including 26 teaching weeks.
Level 2: FdA in Children's Work and Ministry / Family Support Work and Ministry / Youth Work and Ministry comprises of: 40 practice weeks (in main and community placements), including 26 teaching weeks In addition, students are required to complete their alternative placement over the summer (1 week).
Level 3: BA Hons in Children's Work and Ministry / Family Support Work and Ministry / Youth Work and Ministry comprises a total of 34 practice weeks including 26 teaching weeks.
Mode of study
Blended learning through full time study for up to three years (or part time up to six years). The programme combines practice-based experience through your location in a main placement and weekly lectures from the Oasis Centre in central London. The flexible nature of the programme means you can exit at the end of each level (longer if part-time) with a recognised qualification.
In each year, there will be core modules in theology and ministry, but as the course continues you will increasingly be able to choose your own route. For those seeking an NYA accredited youth worker qualification, you will find that route still clearly available with the Youth Work & Ministry option, but others may opt to train in another specialism.
Weekly Structure
During each term, students attend lectures for two days a week, spending another day in private study and the remainder of their time in placements and participating in activities for their own spiritual growth within the church. Students at Level 3 are expected to be able to manage their time fully themselves and much of their year is spent in self-directed study, with only one day a week of college attendance.
