Mehrnoush Scarman MSc, BA - Learning Services Co-ordinator
Mehrnoush is the Learning Services Co-ordinator at Oasis College. She joined the team in 2008 and is responsible for managing library resources both physically and electronically as well as professional and organisational development of knowledge. She also provides learning advice resources for both students and staff.
Mehrnoush is currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Library, Archive and Information Studies, focusing her research on a gender study of UK Academics’ Productivity. She conducted similar research while attending Azad University in Iran, where she earned a Master's Degree in Library & Information Sciences in 2006. Prior to this, she finished her BA in Librarianship at Tehran University in 2002 and acquired a good experience of working in different libraries as an intern during her study.
In addition to her study, she has worked for the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology in Iran coordinating the provision of electronic resources for universities and research centres. She has also worked as an information document controller at INPEX, a Japanese Oil company, where she was responsible for classifying, cataloguing and distributing documents.
Mehrnoush’s interests are meeting and communicating with people, learning, swimming and computer games.
