Applying for Your Chosen Award Programme
The application process will depend on the award you are applying for at Oasis College. Our awards are divided in to four categories:
- Foundation Awards – this is our ‘short course’ programme leading to certificates of credit; or a University Foundation Diploma through a combination of short courses.
- Undergraduate Awards – these are full and part-time awards leading to a BA (Hons) Degree and take a minimum of 3 years full time study to complete.
- The Graduate Diploma Award – this can be studied full or part-time over a minimum of 1 year and maximum 2 years.
- Postgraduate Awards – these are full and part-time awards leading to a Masters Degree. They can be completed in 1 year full-time or up to 3 years part-time.
Before you apply
Before applying you should invest some time reading the course pages to ensure you understand the requirements of the award you are applying for. The demands of each course will vary dependent on the level and length of each award. Some courses require you to have existing voluntary or paid experience in addition to appropriate entry qualifications so please make sure you meet the ‘entry criteria’ for the award of your choice. Another way of finding out more is to attend one of the College open days that run regularly throughout the year. Follow the link on the right of this page to find out about how and when to attend one of our open days.
When should I apply?
We accept applications throughout the year and there is no restriction on when you can apply. Most full-time courses begin in September each year so it is a good idea to apply well in advance of this date if you hope to secure a place for the next September start. Part-time courses may start at different times throughout the year – typically in September, January or June and we accept applications up to one-week in advance of these courses (subject to availability). If you want to check on the available spaces for a particular course then please phone the College using the details provided at the bottom of this page.
