How should I apply?
How you apply for an Oasis College programme depends on what and how you will be studying. If you want to apply to study a full time undergraduate degree, you should apply through UCAS. If you want to study an undergraduate degree part time, you should fill out the Undergraduate Application Form and return it directly to us. For foundation courses you should fill out the Foundation Courses Application Form and for postgraduate courses, you should use the Postgraduate Application Form.
Before you apply
Before applying to UCAS, you should spend time finding the right course for you. When you are ready to apply to UCAS you should ensure you have the correct UCAS course code for your chosen course to hand as you will be prompted to enter this information online. It is important you enter the correct code, which can be found on the information leaflet. When applying online at UCAS you will also be prompted to enter an institution code which is S72.
When should I apply?
Our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes start in September, so the sooner you begin the application process, the more time you will have to make a well-informed decision. Enrolment usually takes place in the middle of September.
What Happens Next?
Once we have received and accepted your application, we will write to you to invite you to an interview day. Interview days comprise of a presentation and tour of Oasis College, a word processed case study, an overview of support services, an interview and a discussion about placements. Because the Oasis College courses are intensive and practice based we use the interview days to check that students will be able to fully benefit from our programmes and be suitable for working with children, young people and families. This is not a scary procedure, and is designed primarily for the benefit of prospective students to ensure that one of our courses best suits their needs.
After you have attended an interview day, we will contact you with the outcome of your interview. If you have been successful, we will ask you to accept your place with us. Once you have done this, we will send you information on what you need to do next.
After Receiving Your Results
However confident you are about achieving the results you need, things do not always go to plan. We recommend that you prepare for all eventualities. If you do not meet the precise conditions of the offer we made you, it may still be possible for us to offer you a place. Contact us for advice as soon as you can.
Deferred Entry
If you wish to defer entry to your chosen course for one year, we will still welcome your application. Please indicate your reasons for deferral on the application form.
