Course Title: Whole Life Ministry and Mission
Module Code: AM75384-0 Credits: 15 Fee: £195.00
Module Leader: Jeremy Thomson Location: Oasis College or in location
Status: Option for the University Foundation Diploma and available as stand-alone course through a Certificate of Credit
Mode of Delivery: This course takes 10-15 weeks to complete and requires attendance at three taught workshop days during this period.
Starting Dates: This course runs up to three times a year with starting dates in the Autumn (Sept-Dec.), Spring (Jan-Apr.) and Summer (May-Aug.). Courses are subject to a minimum number of students in order to run in any given teaching block.

Teaching to take place on Fridays, 9:30-4:30:
24th February; 23rd March; 20th April
Overview: This course will cover theological aspects of human life and work in order to enable participants to situate their own particular stories within God's mission and to develop their particular gifts for ministry in God's world. Participants will be provided with tools and opportunities to reflect upon their own experiences and activities in order to integrate their faith and life. They will explore new aspects of spirituality to sustain long-term ministry. Significant features of the module will be:
  • the introduction of the practice of journaling to aid sustained individual reflection;
  • group reflection and interaction to encourage learning from and support of colleagues;
  • the requirement of each participant to make a short presentation to colleagues concerning personal learning about their particular work with its opportunities and challenges for ministry.
Assessment: Presentation 30%. Journal (1,000 words) 70%
