Learning Resources & Facilities
As an Oasis College Student, you will have full access to our in-house library which will contain the majority of resources that you are likely to need for completion of the course.
Additionally, there will be access to computing facilities, the internet and a range of general purpose software.
We also provide a restricted online area within for all of our students providing access to lecture notes and supplementary documentation which you will find helpful.
All students will be fully enrolled members of Staffordshire University and have access to the various services and student organisations made available by the University.
Academic Concerns
If, for any reason, you would value additional support to discuss any academic concerns, our staff will always be approachable and available to discuss any concerns with you that you might have. This can take place during regular tutorials or you can come to the offices and speak directly with someone there.
ICT, Learning Support and Student Support Services
Oasis College offers a range of support services to ensure that all students get the best out of their time studying with us. From study skills advice to ICT support, no two students' needs are the same, so we offer support to meet your individual needs.
The Information Services Coordinator is available to help you utilise specific software packages which you may not be familiar with, especially the different systems used by students. Any technology related questions should be directed here.
The Student Support Services Coordinator is on hand if you have any questions or concerns about anything ranging from student finances to accommodation and health issues.
If you need a bit of extra help adjusting to essay writing, have any learning support questions or have a question about the library, the Library Services Coordinator is available to help you.
Please note, students with specific learning disabilities (e.g. dyslexia) may be eligible for additional funding from their Local Education Authority (LEA) - this may cover computer equipment, learning support etc.
