What Every Volunteer Youth Worker Should Know

A training course for busy 'extra timers' who need to know the basics and fast!

Having developed the Oasis Youth Work and Ministry Degree for career youth workers, Oasis has now developed a course especially for volunteer youth workers.

What Every Volunteer Youth Worker Should Know is a UK wide initiative that brings together Volunteer Youth Workers by region to network and learn together.

The course looks at everything a volunteer needs to know to be 'safe to practice', and also includes lots of resources that are ready to use 'out of the box'.

What Every Volunteer Youth Worker Should Know is delivered as part of Youthwork the Partnership, which includes Youthwork Magazine, Spring Harvest, ALOVE, YFC and schoolswork.co.uk

Who would most benefit from the course?

This course is for anyone who works with young people in their spare time. It is particularly good for those in their first year of working, but really it's for anyone who has never done any training before.

Delivery of Training

The course is delivered by a network of trainers who run the courses in their area of the country.  Oasis College can make contact with trainers in your area geographically to ascertain when courses are being delivered.
